Thank you for all of those who've participated this 5K Run/Walk event and made it a big successs. Please click this link for the 2008 5K Run/Walk Results 2nd Annual Westmont Beanie Baby 5K Run/Walk Online pre-registration closes on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 5:00 PM. Race Day Registration is open from 6:30 to 7:45 AM and is CASH ONLY. The 2nd annual Westmont Beanie Baby 5K Run/Walk will be held at beautiful Ty Warner Park, and is sure to be a great event for the entire family. The day will begin with a chip-timed 5K run, followed by a 5K walk, both on a USATF certified course. Race packets will include a technical running shirt and a Ty Beanie Baby for all participants. This is a charity event with proceeds being donated to Village of Westmont Charities. Date: Sunday, June 29, 20085K Run Start Time: 8:00A 5K Walk Start Time: 8:05A Location: Ty Warner Park, Westmont, Illinois Directions/Parking: Ty Warner Park is located in Westmont, Illinois at the corner of Blackhawk Drive and Plaza Drive, one block north of the Blackhawk Drive and Ogden Avenue intersection. Parking is available in and around the park as marked on race day. Course: Flat, fast USATF certified 5K loop starting and finishing in Ty Warner Park. The course will be mark with signs at miles 1, 2, 3, and Finish. Bikes, inline skates, skateboards, and dogs are not permitted on the course during the event. Baby joggers are welcome, but will be positioned behind the runners at the start. (Download Map). Timing: Both events are chip-timed. Water/Refreshments: Water will be available on the course at the halfway mark. Water and refreshments will be available after the event at the finish line. Packet Pick-up:Packets will be available for pick-up at Ty Warner Park on race day starting at 6:30 AM. Participation Fee: Pre-registration:$25 Race-day (Cash only): $30 11 to 18 years of age: $20 10 and younger with participating adult: Free CARA Members: $2 discount Children 10 years old and under are free with a participating adult. If your child wishes to be chip-timed, please download and complete the registration form for your child.
